Humberston Academy is now recruiting for Head of Mathematics.

We are looking for a leader to take responsibility of our successful mathematics department that has performed consistently above national average in all examinations delivered. The department thrives on good humour and teamwork, delivering a knowledge rich curriculum in well-resourced classrooms with a student centred philosopy.
The successful applicant will lead and be part of a team that has a variety of specialised teachers, all offering support and guidance to each other, which creates a positive and hardworking ethos. They are eager to access the most up to date research and always go above and beyond to ensure all students meet their potential.
Applicants are required to be driven, motivated and enthusiastic to deliver Mathematics up to KS4.
At Humberston Academy we are passionate about providing a traditional curriculum which not only develops life skills but prepares each student for adulthood and a successful career.
Students in the academy show a real enthusiasm for Mathematics and are acutely aware of the link between the subject and the world of work. About Humberston Academy
We are an 11-16 Academy with capacity for 900 students. Over recent years we have seen good results in GCSE subjects year on year and we are one of the highest performing Academies in the Authority.
The last Oftsed reports says that; "Students make an outstanding contribution to their community. They take an active role through their involvement on the Student Leadership Team and House Councils. Students have regular meetings with the Senior Leadership Team and feel they have a voice at a strategic level which can help bring about changes in the Academy."
