About Leighton Park School

In the school’s distinctive atmosphere every student is celebrated as an individual. Leighton Park’s holistic approach to education develops skills that will last a lifetime. Creative, engaging, inspiring teaching and learning experiences, both inside and outside the classroom, result in students becoming active learners who understand what and why they are studying and who are prepared for their future.

From ages 11 to 18, students benefit from an academically rigorous and innovative curriculum where they are encouraged to think independently, creatively and critically. A broad and flexible range of subject options are available and Sixth Formers can choose between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and A Levels. With a new ICT suite, new Food Technology facility and the purchase of nineteen new Yamaha pianos in the school’s 125th anniversary year, Leighton Park is committed to investing in its educational environment for both current and future students.

Flexibility in the length of the school day, with options between 7.30am and 9pm for day students, and the provision of over 10 school transport routes, including Newbury, Basingstoke and Ascot, are designed to support parents with increasingly busy lives. Full, weekly and flexi boarders and day students all benefit from the vast range of extra-curricular activities, excellent boarding and catering facilities and supervised prep, helping families achieve that important balance between life at school and home.
