Digital and IT Teacher
The digital agenda is rapidly becoming a top priority across all industries, with our need to bridge the skills gap in addition to the retraining needs of a post Covid19 environment. As such the college is investing in its digital offer, and is looking for variable hours Digital and IT staff to help deliver and drive courses that provide opportunities towards digital sector careers.
Candidate/s should have experience and skills in digital, IT and computing skills, while being able to support a wide variety of learners, including mature adults, some with limited IT skills looking to enhance their computer and digital technology use, while others looking to explore more advanced and emerging digital opportunities.
Candidates will need to be flexible in supporting learners from across our region, and be as comfortable delivering online, as they would be in a classroom environment. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to help play a vital role in building up the regions digital skills, from those requiring basic digital skills that help to ensure no one is digitally disadvantaged, and in generating the developers and users of digital technology to drive our economy.
The successful applicant will have a degree in Digital / IT Computing or other relevant subject, a full teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) together with significant experience of teaching.
