About Windlesham House School

Windlesham House School is one of the country’s leading co-educational Preparatory Schools offering world-class day and boarding for school children aged from 4 to 13 years in sixty-five glorious acres of the stunning South Downs in West Sussex.

Windlesham was established in 1837 and is currently celebrating its 180th anniversary.  The school moved to its current location in 1934, and in 1967 became the first, and still remains, a top IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools) school

We provide children of all academic abilities with an opportunity to reach their personal potential in subjects and activities in which they show promise, from maths and science, languages, the arts and sports. And whilst academic excellence and success are a high priority, we think that it is important to maintain a very caring, family atmosphere at Windlesham through our unique pastoral care.

We have a very talented and totally committed staff that make the happiness, security and personal development of each child their priority every term. All the staff at Windlesham put every effort into getting to know each child at the school and we all take enormous pleasure in helping our current pupils to flourish in a nurturing environment. We encourage the children to climb trees and to enjoy their rural surroundings, to succeed academically and to become responsible and thoughtful people so that they leave Windlesham well-rounded and prepared for senior school.
